March 14-18

Good day parents and students:


Please remember to log into your Powerschool account and check for any missing assignments ( you will know the the assignment is missing because there will be no grade and a yellow M appears). These are assignments that may still be turned in. Please show them to me before Wednesday, March 16th. Failing to do so will result in your grade turning into a 0 and your Quarter 3 score being affected.

I hope all of you enjoyed the spring break. We need to be rested and ready to begin this last partial of the school year!!

6th Grade Math
Binder check for Quarter 3 will take place on Monday, March 14th. Students already got their checklist last week.

We will begin our unit on probability. First, we will review converting fractions, decimals and percents, how to solve proportions, and simplifying fractions, since these skills are the foundation of the unit. Then, we will take a look at theoretical probability and making predictions.


Cívica
El Martes 15 de marzo revisaremos el cuaderno ( no lo pudimos hacer la semana pasada) y los alumnos trabajarán en un proyecto sobre los derechos humanos básicos. Utilizando periódicos, ellos buscarán ejemplos de derechos humanos siendo otorgados y siendo violentados.
