Good day:
We are very close to wrapping up Quarter 3. Believe it or not, it's only two more weeks!! Make sure to keep agendas updated, because you will probably have several projects and tests coming up.
Good luck to the AST students, who will be representing us at San Pedro Sula this week. Let's show good sportsmanship and team work!!
6th Grade Math
We had a pop quiz on tables, and even kids were surprised of how many of them they have forgotten. Please make sure you review the Multiplication Facts at home. We already covered multiplying fractions, and this week we will continue with division of fractions and mixed numbers.
A test on the 4 Operations with fractions will take place on Tuesday, March 8th. As this will be the only test of the partial, make sure you are prepared!! You may use the link list provided at this blog to review and study.
Cívica:
Concluiremos la unidad de la Familia analizando una película familiar y aplicando a la misma los conocimientos de la familia vistos en clase. Se asignará un proyecto de la familia esta semana.
Have a great week!!

Hello everybody!
Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope you cherish your loved ones today and every day of the year!!
Don't forget mid-quarter grades will be posted on Powerschool this Monday, February 14th. Make sure you check your grades and turn in any missing assignments.Since this a partial score, you still have 5 weeks to improve grades, if necessary.
This week we will have the MS Math Walkthrough. On Wednesday, February 16th, all Middle school students will be presenting and trying out each other's activities and games, which have been created by the kids themselves to review and master different Math concepts. Please come and take a look at the their impressive work. Way to go!!
6th Grade Math
We have begun with adding and subtracting fractions with the same and different denominators. We will continue with these operations this week and extend our skills to mixed numbers. A quiz on these topics will be given on Tuesday, February 22nd.
Don't forget that any suggestions and recommendations given to the groups on the Fraction projects presented last week have to be made before the Math walkthrough. Failing to do so will negatively affect your project's grade, since its evaluation has not finalized yet.
Cívica
Continuaremos con la unidad de la familia. Esta semana veremos los valores de la familia, asi como aspectos importantes de la interrelación familiar. Próximamente tendremos nuestra prueba sobre la unidad.
Have a great week!!

February 7-10
Good day dear students:
I hope all of you enjoyed a wonderful weekend. Congratulations to the AST's Knowledge Ball teams and coaches for a great job at the ABSH tournament!!
We are very close to finishing up the first 5 weeks of the 3rd partial, which means that mid-quarter grades are around the corner. We must be on top of upcoming evaluations and projects by keeping our agendas updated. Please take a look at what we will be happening in class this week.
6th Grade Math
The group projects the students had been working with the last 5 class sessions have been presented. Each team had a chance to show their mastery of the topic they were assigned, and then everybody tried out their different activities or games. Since this same project will be displayed on February 16th to the MS students during the Math Walkthrough, teams still need to improve their work with suggestions made by the teacher and their fellow classmates. Please make sure these recommendations are put into practice and are ready by the date mentioned.
This week we will begin our Unit on Fraction operatios. We will review addition and subtraction of fractions first.
